Flight Trajectories Optimization of Fixed-Wing UAV by Bank-Turn Mechanism

This paper addresses an optimization of Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) flight trajectories by bank-turn mechanism for a fixed-wing UAV at constant altitude. The should be optimal and stay in the operational area. maneuver planning is conducted two steps, which are path trajectory planning. For first step, Bezier curve employed as maneuvering path. objective to minimize length while satisfying maximum curvature collision avoidance constraints. time load factor considering, minimum/maximum speed, acceleration, roll angle, turn rate, aerodynamics variable speed generation developed within allowable zone considering these constraints employing meta-heuristic optimizations. Results show that PSO have outperformed GA GWO both steps has succeeded reducing during using curve. recommended when result involve lower turning radius. A simultaneous on arrival target mission also combination strategies.
